A gift to CHEPS supports students, experiential learning, the improvement of healthcare delivery, and more. Gifts of all sizes make an impact and mean a great deal to us. Here are just a few examples of what we can do with donations from generous supporters like you.
Help a Student Share Our Work More Broadly. Attending professional conferences allows students to share their research and collaborate with the broader community. In addition to being a valuable professional experience for students, this open exchange of ideas is integral to our work. Your gift helps to make these conference trips happen.
Support Students Working to Improve Healthcare. CHEPS brings together students from many different backgrounds to become part of teams collectively working to solve real-world problems in healthcare. We hire students of all degree levels and majors. Your donation helps us support more students and projects.
Bring Healthcare Engineering & Patient Safety Experts to Campus. Our Providing Better Healthcare through Systems Engineering seminar series brings leading scholars in the important and emerging area of healthcare engineering and patient safety to campus to share their expertise with our students and the community. Your support helps make this possible.
Build the CHEPS Community. Relationships built at CHEPS enable students to work better together, provide an academic and personal support system, and become an integral part of professional networks. Students form these connections through both their work and the social activities they do as a group like holiday parties, volleyball tournaments, and volunteering together. A student recently offered to pay extra for a kayaking trip to help other CHEPS students participate if money was tight. We appreciated the generosity but instead want to find a way as a Center to make sure all students can enjoy CHEPS activities. We’re establishing a fund that students can apply to in order to support social events open to all CHEPS students. Your support can help us make that happen!
