CHEPS brings together students from various backgrounds to become part of teams that collectively work to solve real-world problems in healthcare. We hire students of all degree levels and majors, which include (but are not limited to) engineering, pre-med, nursing, public health, informatics, business, and humanities.
Engineering students often build models, write code, and analyze data…but also observe in clinics, collaborate with physicians, and see the healthcare system from the inside.
Nursing, pre-med, and public health students may interview patients and help the team better understand the real-world components of the problem…but also learn systems-based engineering as it applies to healthcare and develop additional technical skills.
No matter who you are, you will utilize your existing expertise while stepping outside your comfort zone to learn new things. Further, you’ll get to work with some seriously wonderful people! Visit our project page for examples of the types of projects students at CHEPS have the opportunity to work on.
